Ever since I was about 7 years old, I have been known to faint, which was brought on by of some sort of pain. I remember the day my step dad was re-peircing my ears like it was yesterday. The second he poked that needle through my ear, I fainted and hit the floor. I was only out for a few seconds but that is a feeling you never forget.
The next time was a few years later and I was at a friends house for a sleep over. It was morning, and I had gone across the hall from the bedroom into the bathroom. I went to go to the bathroom and the next thing I remember was waking up on the floor next to the bathtub with my pants around my ankles. Â I had a sharp back pain and when I went to sit down it had spasmed and the pain made me faint.
A few years after that, I was in Florida on spring break with my family. I got to bring a friend with and we were having a great time! It was Easter Sunday and we were sitting in the hot, packed church. Â This time it was a really bad stomach pain that had taken me over the edge. Â Apparently I looked over at my mom, my eyes rolled in the back of my head and I passed out right in her lap. They had brought me out of the congregation area and into a back room to make sure I was alright.
Now I am 18 and ready to get my very first tattoo! My friend and I had decided to get the same one and get it in the same place as each other, on the top of our right foot. We chose a cowboy hat with our initials, since our initials were the same we thought it would be cool! Of course the day we chose to do this was the hottest day of the year, and you have heard about my issues with pain…not a good combo! I am not sure if you have ever gotten a tattoo, much less a tattoo on your foot but that is a very, very sensitive spot. Â I dropped pretty quickly but once I knew what it felt like I was fine and I have proceeded to get a few more since then, minus the fainting, I’m a pro now!
I had gotten a job with a photography company that took school photos for our area. I loved this job, I got to take pictures and get paid for doing what I loved, It was great! One morning we arrived at a school and we were getting ready to unload the van. I opened the sliding minivan door as far as it could go and went to hop out of the van but when I hopped out, I hit my funny bone so hard I fainted. I woke up a few seconds later puking on the sidewalk I was laying on. Â Quite embarrassing.
There was one other time but it wasn’t for my pain. It was for someone who had hurt their leg. I had it propped up on a pillow and when they moved they made a painful noise, and I was out, fainted instantly. I woke up to them throwing pillows at me asking me what happened. That one was very strange since it wasn’t my pain.
I have asked doctors about this and never really gotten and answer on why this happens.
Has anyone ever fainted or have an embarrassing story to share?? If so I’d love to hear them!!
