So it begins

Welcome to 2018 everyone!

It’s a new year and the same conversation begins “Where has the time gone, I could have sworn it was just September”.  I suppose that isn’t different than the ending of any month actually. It just seems a bit more extreme when it’s a new year!Snowy Shovel Owl

Do you have a resolution all planned out yet?

That’s another conversation we will all be having for the next month until everyone forgets about what they picked after taking, what feels like forever, to decide on the perfect resolution!

I can’t really talk though as I have said many times I was going to successfully fulfill my resolution but every year it’s always the same thing, I fail.

So I have decided not to do a resolution this year and just accomplish what I want to accomplish without labeling it, maybe that will help!! I hope so!!

I have two things that I would like to accomplish in 2018!!

  • The first one is: I have started a 365 photo challenge today, every Monday I post a topic and for the next 7 days I take pictures of different perspectives of that topic. I am still trying to figure some things out with it but I hope by the end of the year it turns out to be something I really enjoy and love! Here is the explanation of what I will be doing if you’d like to check it out and here is the first weeks topic Something in your Kitchen. It would be great to see what others perspectives of the weekly topics are too!!
  • The second one is: I started doing 2 different exercises. Nothing crazy but I would like to tone and strengthen my core. Of course I found them on Pinterest! One is a 30 day plank challenge (I have never finished any 30 day work out challenges) and the other is similar and is for the lower abdomen area. I would say I should do more than that but I would like see if these even make a difference at all before I add in any other exercises, if that makes sense!

  1. I just might join that challenge. Oh, the plank! I am doing that too. It hurts! It is supposed to be great for the lower abs, I haven’t been doing it long enough to find out. Best of luck.

    1. I hope you do join, I enjoy your photos! Im on day 5 now with the planks and am starting to feel it now, I just hit 40 seconds and the end is 5 mins, Yikes! I’m gonna do it!!! Good luck to you too!

  2. I changed up the 365 a day to posting 7 photos for each day once a week. The house is coming full speed now and timing wasn’t at hand, or I would join in daily. I already miss doing it, but will have to suffice with just once a week for now. Planks, I wish you luck and am interested in hearing your progess too. Its always good to strengthen that core. My back went out and the getting my abs back made it possible for me to walk again.

    1. Thanks for the luck, so far so good. Today is day 8 so can’t see much progress yet but I am hoping to by the end. It is starting to get a bit harder 🙂 My chiropractor keeps saying to strengthen my core and my back will feel better as I have lower back pain. Thanks for the reassuance from your story, and I am glad you are feeling better! I am kinda liking the idea of posting 7 photos once a week. I get home from work which is 10 hours of working on a computer and the last thing I want to do is do more computer work. I think the original thought was that I would have a bunch already edited and ready for scheduled posts but that didn’t happen. I am struggling a little bit. Plus one of my things was that I was sick of looking through old photos I’ve taken and wanted to take them in that current week and just play with my camera more!
