Woodworking Books

Woodworking Books.jpg

One of my new hobbies is woodworking. I am reading lots of books on how to master the skill of woodworking and it is very entertaining. I hope to make many nice things with this new skill and plan to share my journey along the way! Please stay tuned!!

Are you a woodworker? If not, what is one of your favorite hobbies or what entertains you?

  1. Not a woodworker! I am horrible at measuring and cutting straight lines! It’s rather deflating, but it won’t stop me from trying. The project may just come out smaller than intended. ๐Ÿ˜Š

    1. Iโ€™m not very good yet, most of the things Iโ€™ve made are not straight and I also need to learn to read a pattern and measurements better! You can only get better with practice, thatโ€™s what I keep telling myself!

    1. Thanks for the luck!! Iโ€™m excited to create many things! I look forward to your post if you do ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

    1. I havenโ€™t painted it yet… ๐Ÿ˜ƒ but thanks for the reminder! I have off the next 3 days, maybe I will do it then! Itโ€™s supposed to snow, sounds like a good project for a snow day!

  2. I like to play with wood also. I cut down an old oak and saved all of its good branches then decided to cut those into blocks and cheese cutters. Ughghghg… the wood is so darn hard! But I found a remedy… grabbed a guy to hold it down while I chainsawed it…. worked. Looking forward to seeing your projects. Sounds like fun!

    1. Ha!! Perfect! I have not used yard tree wood yet. Only wood from the store, which can be rather soft depending on what you buy…it had messed up some of my beginning projects. But now I know and have learned to research the type of wood needed for each project! Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚
